I was delighted to be invited to the St Vincent’s Support Centre recently to see the services they offer to the local community.

There is a vast range of community groups and activities to include:-

wellbeing sessions, such as arts and crafts, candle making, breaking bread,
English as a second language (ESOL) sessions
ChitChat Cafe Ladies group
Walking group
Pie and Poetry Men’s group
Art programme

They also run support services for people in need:

Free hot meals (sit in or takeaway) on Tuesdays 11am to 1pm. Meals are cooked by volunteers. Also called Vinnie’s Lunch or Café
Emergency food parcels and essential items, Monday to Thursday 10.30am to 3.30pm and Fridays 10am to 2pm

Clothing Support Service on Thursdays with free clothing, household items, blankets, bedding, toiletries and toys 12pm to 2pm. 1 hour appointments available with a volunteer

You can donate food, money and vouchers to St Vincent’s to help them with their work online or in person. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1pm to 3pm. Or use their donation bank, in the parking lot at the back of the Centre. You can call to arrange to make a donation.
